In 2021, I began embroidering one 4-inch hoop a month. This hoop is from December, the last installment in this project. After 11 months of landscapes and objects, I realized that I hadn’t tried to embroider a person yet. This self-portrait took me about 36 hours and by the end of it I was very ready to take a break from stitching.
