In 2021, I began embroidering one 4-inch hoop a month. This hoop is from July, when I decided to learn by copying from an already existing painting. I chose Georgia O’Keefe’s Red Canna because I could directly apply the stitch direction and blending exercise I had taught myself in the June embroidery.
