Shena Tschofen is a multidisciplinary circus artist based in Montreal. Her powerful and unique Cyr wheel performances have been recognized for their “fluidity and grace.” She also performs acrobatic dance lasso and in various aerial roles. She is a 2016 graduate of the National Circus School in Montreal and is currently on tour with Cirque Éloize’s Saloon. Yes, she has dangled upside down off a four story building while playing the fiddle, and she is always up for new circus shenanigans.

It’s a relatively easy walk to this beautiful 17m waterfall in Gortipohl, Austria. Park by the goat barn. Stop at the wooden seesaw in the rustic playground. Enjoy some fresh bread and Bergkäse at the picnic spot and hike up over the meadow. However, most people don’t take this hike while carrying a cyr wheel.

The Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (adjacent to the Quetico in Canada) is an area of protected wilderness in northern Minnesota. I took my camera on my most recent trip (packed very carefully in a dry bag, since the only way to travel there is by canoe).
